I tried to make use of the stock&inventory > order point feature and found, that I cannot add kits to the list, to feed the stock supply wizard.
Is it my wrong, intended behaviour - or an issue?
EG
Kits are not stockable products, just a set of other products.
So if you want to have order point for kids, you need to set an order point for its components.
This allow to guarantee the minimum stock of the kits, but also to replace just the missing components for when they are sell without the full kit.
OTOH there may be situations where a product of type good also may have components. E.g. order a mobile-phone including the components AC-adaptor and cable. But later de-bundle the components and sell the mobile-phone without AC-Adaptor and cable. IIRC this way you can order products with components.
