Grant limited access to customers and suppliers?

Hello fellow colleagues,

in our non-profit agricultural cooperative, we’d like to grant access to purchases and sales, to suppliers and customers, so they can create offers and orders on their own. Can we limit access to the account holder, so both categories can offer / order on their own behalf only, but not on others, as it would be with a standard purchase / sale account?

Normally, this is job for a web shop, but

  • those can normally not handle the supplier side,
  • and we don’t have a web shop (yet)

For this reason we’d like to explore this option, ideas are very welcome.

The Tryton UI and user are designed for internal used in the company.
It will be complex to define all the required rules to limit access to externals like a supplier or customer.

For me I think the best option is to create a specific web application front-end (backed by the web users) which provides the feature you want to expose to your supplier/customer.

Another option would be to exchange edocument (similar to the electronic invoice) which follow standard like UBL or UNCEFACT to automate the encoding.

Thank you, Sir. That’s what I expected, but always better ask first before waste time and effort.
