Does Subscription respect price changes?

Hello,
our agricult coop had price changes in May. Now I find invoices for August with those changes not being respected; all of them still do have the old price.

Is that intended behavior? - IMHO, when price of a product is changed, next invoices to be created should have the new price.

It does if the price on the subscription line is modified.

We had a similiar discussion some time ago: Update price of multiple subscriptions but there is no implementation for it.

So you’re telling me that I need to update the price of every manually? - AFAIK, the consumption and invoice wizard creates consumptions and invoices back in time till the given date? - So, do I have to end subscription lines before price change, and create new ones from that date on ?

That would not be so charming… ):

You have to invoice all the consumption at the older time before updating to the new price for the future consumption.

We did that.

But that has to be done for every single subscription on any product with changed prices. Correct?

I don’t know what other people expect; I’d expect that invoices are created on base of the amount for the invoicing period. I can think of several solutions:

  1. “create-invoice”-wizard does not take the price from the subscription line, but from the product
  2. “create-invoice”-wizard checks, if product price and subscription line prices are different - in case, it ends subscription line at the recent end of billing period, and creates a new one for the beginning of the present billing period
