Subscriptions: idea of "status closed"?

Hello everybody,

at sale > subscriptions, I can give a subscription an “end date”. When doing so, it will be set to status “closed”, and I did not find a possibility to re-open it. Did I get that right?

And - does it really make sense this way?

People make mistakes all day, especially I do. So when once by accident a subscription is closed, I need to create a new one for this person and can no longer see this person’s subscription history in one list.

I can only think about “death of subscriber” as a reason to close a subscription. In any other case, I’d rather only terminate the most recent subscription line. Do people agree with this?

So my impression is that there should be the possibility to re-open a closed subscription, for cases like ‘error in data input’, ‘person came back after a long absence’, ‘person was released after 10yrs. of prison” or whatever…

There is no pause. If you reactivate a closed subscription, it will generate all the missing consumption.
Now I guess we could add a transition from closed to running, to allow fixing mistakes.

I’d appreciate this enhancement and would be very grateful for a quick fix.

Issue.
