when I add a sale price list to my web-shop and run the product update afterwards nothing happens, because the product identifiers are not set to update. Shouldn’t the prices being updated in the web-shop or am I missing something?

What do you mean? There is no “update” on product identifier.
sorry, I forgot to mention the web-shop type I use is shopify.
With product update I mean the shopify_update_product method, which updates all products whose identifiers to_update field is set to true.
Yes it should as all the products are updated but Shopify API is slow due to limitation.
