After the Tryton 8.2 release landed in October, the community turned to the work that follows up. The product category search responds to parent categories again, and the documentation got some improvements.
For an in depth overview of the Tryton issues please take a look at our issue tracker or see the issues and merge requests filtered by label.
Changes for the User
Stock, Production and Shipments
When you search for a product category by name, the parent categories are matched as well.
New Documentation
The stock documentation now describes the procedure for setting lots on assigned moves.
The sale credit limit module documentation has been refreshed to match the latest behaviour and configuration options.
The move grouping wizard now has its own section in the accounting documentation.
New Releases
We released bug fixes for the recently released 8.2 minor series and the currently maintained long term support series 8.0, 7.8, and 7.0.
Changes for Implementers and Developers
The product category now extends the tree() domain instead of overriding it. Overriding could mask the contribution of the tree() mixin to search_rec_name, so anyone who reuses the search override pattern should leave the tree() clause extension in place.
The party replacement now takes an optional WHERE clause to restrict the rows that are updated. The clause is provided by a hook on the model, so developers can keep certain rows (such as moves that have already been voided) untouched while the rest of the party field is rewritten.
Initial draft powered by Minimax-M3. Curated and finalized by human hands.
