Setting up Tryton ERP for the hospital

Hello!

I’m new to Tryton and need guidance on setting up the financial and accounting modules for a hospital system. Specifically, I need help with two things:
1Hierarchical Setup: The setup involves a parent company (Company A) that oversees three other hospitals. Does Tryton support this hierarchical structure where multiple entities fall under a single parent company?
2. Testing Environment: Is there a testing server available for Tryton where I can practice and familiarize myself with the system before purchasing a server and setting up the ERP environment?
Any advice or assistance on these matters would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello,
welcome to Tryton. Are you aware that there is a specialized solutions for the health sector, based on Tryton?

It’s called GNUhealth, and you may want to check it first, if you had not known about it yet.

On your questions:

  1. AFAIK, you can add several companies which all will write to the same ledger.
  2. GNUhealth includes a sophisticated install script. Thus, you can create several local setups on your machine and practice the usage, which is highly recommended.

Cheers,
Wolf

thanks for the prompt response. the hospital has its own HMIS system for billing portion they want to integrate that in the tryton along with other existing modules in tryton focusing on Financial and accounts for now

Yes but there is no automatic inter-companies booking but we have an Account Consolidation Module to generate reports over many companies.
Also you may need to split some resources per company or group others depending on the organization.
