Mousetrap library is basically an abandoned project. Lots of unsolved issues and unmerged pull requests. I suggest GitHub - jaywcjlove/hotkeys: ➷ A robust Javascript library for capturing keyboard input. It has no dependencies. as an alternative. Thank you.
What is exactly the problem with mousetrap? As long as it is doing the job, I prefer to keep existing libraries. Indeed as we achieve with Papa Parse, it will be better to have some people from the community that take part of maintaining mousetrap.
I do not like the Javascript trend of jumping from one dependency to last new trendy library.
