when I create the sales report for a german customer, the country in the delivery address is still displayed as “GERMANY”, as defined in the address format. However, should this not be translated like the whole report? (Trying this on the german demo account).

The standard of address format says that the country should be written in English or in the country language.
So in Tryton we chose to implement the simplest way by always displaying country in English.
I see. So how could I change it such that the country name is translated into the customers language?
Except that it may generate invalid address (which current implementation will never), you will have to modify the Address._get_address_substitutions.
