Managing Currency error on customer invoice

Hi,

One of our users made a mistake with the currency on a sale and then on the customer invoice.

He selected a wrong currency on the sale (for instance $ instead of €) but unit price is for € (and amount too). Invoice is also posted in $.
Customer wants to pay in euros. (wondering why he didn’t notice the problem on the sale confirmation)

Sale and invoice cannot be updated.

So, I made a credit note for the whole invoice, and then I’m creating manually a new invoice with the correct currency.

  • Should I link the invoice line with the stock move like for the original invoice?
  • And also should I define the origin of the invoice line with the sale line which has the wrong currency ?

Or should I solve this problem another way ?

I think it should so the unit price of the stock move will be correct.

I do not think because it will double the quantity invoiced by the sale so it may create a credit of the quantity.
