Can I use an argument here to preselect a certain profile (containing the database info) ? I could not find such with tryton -h.

If we consider that the profiles are a GUI feature, then for me it does not make sense to mix command-line and GUI.
What I do is I have a shell script which is launched in .xsession (launch on startup) that just connects to my company database.
