How to prepare a test installation based on an existing configuration

Hi All,

I have a decent configuration of Tryton 5.2 and now I’d like to reuse that to prepare a sandbox installation on the same server. The main purpose is to let the users play with Tryton on the test installation and to avoid re-entering the same setup data again (i.e. all the config and custom reports).

What is the easiest way for doing that? I think there are a couple of areas to consider:

  1. tryton + modules
  2. sao
  3. database
  4. data (parties, materials, inventories etc; also custom reports)

I’m not sure how to approach that topic, so any suggestions are welcome.

I would recommend to use a proteus script to configure and another script to populate the database with sample data.
