How to configure the date format in report

Dear community,
How do you configure a report with the correct date format? Currently when I change the date format in the language format or example to %d.%m.%Y, the date format is correctly displayed on the forms. However it is not changed in the report (invoice report). I tried to change the company default language and the user language as well without success.

If you test a posted invoice, the report is always the same at the time of the post because it is cached in the database.
