Hello, carrying out the accounting closing process in Tryton, which is done annually in each company, the system does not execute anything for me, I understand that everything must be accounted for from the previous year (2022 in this case) and go to accounting / processes / close fiscal years, and when giving “Close” the system generated an accounting entry, but it was not like that. Does anyone have knowledge of the correct process? I would appreciate the help.
Closing fiscal year doesn’t do any special magic, it merely stops the system from accepting any further account moves that belongs to the specific period/fiscal year.
However, it is important to note that before closing a fiscal year, you need to have all your moves posted, reviewed your balance sheet and income statement, and perform a end of fiscal year closing move (i.e. balance non-deferrals).
