I agree with @albert.
Coming back to my initial comment where comparing this functionality with similar implementation on NAV, I would like to show how this other system uses a fact box panel to show related information (right panel). IMHO this is a mix of both points due to it is visible by default, it does not take vertical space, is resizable and can be hidden completely by users if they want (there is an option to show it again).
