# Statement journal \<-\> bank account association

Hi,

I try to import a bank statement but I get an error stating that to import the statement, I have to create a journal for the account \<number\_of\_my\_bank\_account\>.  
(In french: "Pour importer le relevé, vous devez créer un journal pour le compte “012345A”)

However :

- A general accounting statement journal has been opened.
- A statement journal has been opened and associated to the mentioned bank account.

Only the IBAN number has been registered in the bank account.

Any idea?

You must define also the number that is used in the imported file.

It works, thanks!

Specifically, I had to add an “Other” bank account number with the “ACCTID” tag value from the OFX file.
