I’m looking at the code that describes tree views in xml and I see that sometimes tree views are name whatever\_view\_tree and others times whatever\_view\_list.
Does the different naming imply different concepts? Is there a convention on when to use one naming suffix or the other?

Normally we try to use `_tree` suffix when it is used for tree which children and `_list` when it is used as flat list. But this convention came later and it is not well respected (and maybe we should just always use `_tree`).
