Hi,

We have a customer that uses unit prices with more than 4 decimals. With our 4 decimals, lines with big quantities differ by a few cents, so our sale and invoice totals don’t match theirs.

We have considered two options:

1. Increase the unit price digits to 8 only for some parties, with a setting on the party that is applied to the unit prices of their sales and invoices.
2. Increase `price_decimal` from 4 to 8 for the whole database.

We have already read [Rounding on sale and invoice](https://discuss.tryton.org/t/rounding-on-sale-and-invoice/1029) and [Is posible change price\_decimal after installed database?](https://discuss.tryton.org/t/is-posible-change-price-decimal-after-installed-database/3494).

The first option seems better to me, because the problem only happens with one customer, and I’m not very convinced about changing how prices work in the rest of the system. But I’m not sure if it has any drawback I’m missing.

What do you think?

Thanks!

I do not understand the question because it is not the customer that decides of the price. The company can use the number of decimal it wants for its sales.
