**Hi everyone,**

I’m facing an issue with fetching PDF files from a specific email address (`dev.provider@company.com` on IONOS) and transferring them into the Tryton interface using the **document\_incoming** module.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

- Activated the modules: **inbound\_email** , **document\_incoming** , and **document\_incoming\_ocr, document\_incoming\_invoice**.

- Generated an application key from Administration → Applications, selected _Incoming Document_, and validated it through the interface.

- In the **Inbound Email** menu, I created a rule and generated a URL (since I’m working on localhost, I used a temporary ngrok link).

**Rule details:**

- Name: TEST Rechnung

- Origin: (empty)

- Destination: `dev\.provider@company\.com`

- Subject: Rechnung

- Attachment Name: `\.pdf$`

- Headers: (empty)

- Action: Incoming Document

After setting this up, I tested by sending an email with a PDF attachment to `dev.provider@company.com`. However, nothing happened — no PDF was transferred into the Tryton interface.

**My question:** Is there an additional step I might have missed that prevents the email from being processed and the PDF from being imported into Tryton?

Is your email appears in the “E-mails” of the “Inbox”? If yes, what are the data?

Hi Mr@ced, No, The emails does not appear in Administration → Models → E-mails.

I also did a small test, I tested the `/document_incoming` endpoint separately with a PDF using curl command and -H “Authorization: Bearer key” and I found the file on incoming documents menu

Those are emails sent from the client.
I’m talking of the emails received in the inbox.

Then there should be a problem with your call to the inbound email hook.
You should check the logs.

For me your POST request is not correctly done.
Can you share what request you are performing?

Hi,

I tested again by sending an email at 08:58, but this time there is no request to the inbound email endpoint in the terminal logs.

When I open the generated inbound email URL directly in the browser, I get 405 METHOD NOT ALLOWED, which I understand is because the browser sends GET while the endpoint expects POST.

I have not configured IONOS to make a POST request to the generated Tryton endpoint. I only have the IONOS email address and the Tryton Inbound Email endpoint configured. Could this be the missing part? What should be used to fetch the email from IONOS and POST the raw email to the Tryton endpoint?

IONOS is not supported. But as far as I see it is not a transactional email provider but just an hosting service.
I’m not sure it is the proper provider for inbound email.
Any way, you will have to write your own script to fetch email and post them if you want to use IONOS.
