# Clarification of the release schedule

@pokoli May I ask you to clearly state in the top post
- whether this release process is accepted and live. (Udo writes „proposal”, which is a bit irritating when just skimming over the messages.)
- whether there is a fixed number of minor releases between major releases (scratch looks like there are four minor releases between, anyhow it is not clear whether this is set.).
- whether there is a fixed schedule for major releases (e.g. „all three years”) — otherwise how major releases are scheduled or decided on

It is our current process and it is kept up to date if there are changes.

Yes because there is a release every 6 months.

As there is a release every 6 months, there is a LTS every 2.5 years.
